Assorted lot of Mattel Baby Beans dolls, in played-with condition and in need of some TLC. There are two Mama Beans dolls (no babies) in the lot from 1975. The fabric of the blond Mama is dirty. The Mama doll with red hair and green dress has a what might be a black burn mark on the side of her vinyl face. We have not tried to clean it up to see how much will come off. A former owner wrote her initials in marker on her apron.
The doll with the yellow cap is a very rare 1976 Little Miss Muffet Storybook Beans. She is the doll in the nicest condition in the lot. Her limbs are slightly dirty, but not too bad. The flattened yellow doll is a 1972 Cry Baby Beans. She is a drink and cry doll. She has not been tested, but since her stomach is flat, there was probably something inside her at one time to hold the water she drank, but it may have disintegrated. She has some stains on her sleeper and the fabric is dirty. The smallest doll is Baby Bonnet Beans from 1980. She is missing her panties and bib. See page 209 Dolls of the 1960s and 1970s, Volume I by Cindy Sabulis to learn more about these dolls.
