A garden favorite and  pretty enough for the flowerbed, Emilee's also produces some of the largest and most beautiful dried beans you can grow. The 8 foot vines are covered with bright red blossoms in early summer and continue to bloom until fall. The flattened seed pods reach 8 inches in length and about 1 inch across and each contains 4 or 5 deep purple beans with black markings. Many of these bean seeds are 3/4" or larger at maturity. The beans are edible at all stages, as a green string bean, later as a butter bean and finally as a dried bean.  It is just an amazing plant - easy to grow and earns its keep in the garden. Hummingbirds and bees are attracted to the flowers. I'll send about 30 seeds in a packet. Not available internationally.
