For your consideration is an antique gold gilt and gesso and wood oval frame. It has a print of a Hungarian Count in the collotype process and was framed by Vilas-Mages of Chicago which closed its doors during the depression. Prints by Vilas-Mages framing studio range from $10 to $100 each. The frame does have some slight damage, only adding to its charm that it is indeed an antique. Some of the gesso beads on the bottom and top are missing as shown and there is a small dent on the inner part of the frame on the left as shown. The count must have been well known as there are prints out there that look the same, however I could not find any information on it. These prints alone are selling for between $38 and $100 each. Frame measures 12 1/4" x 14 1/4" outside measurements and just over 8 1/4" x 10 1/4" on the inside diameters.
