Alubia de Tolosa’, originated in the ancient town of Tolosa in the Basque province of Gipuzkoa, Spain.  The beans are an integral part of Basque culture  The bean was recently added to Slow Food’s Ark of Taste
The plants grow to eight feet or more and produce abundant amounts of five to six inch pods that typically hold seven plump, dark black, shiny beans. They are thin-skinned and the flavor is buttery and quite unique.  
Later season - 100 days to dry beans. 60 seeds per packet. Not available for international sales.
