Vintage Armenian Geghard Decorative Plate, Armenia Lion Plate, Armenian Wall Hanging Plate
Antique vintage Melchior plate made from Armenia in the 1970s or even early in the 1960s. The plate evokes Geghard, the medieval monastery with two lion and grapes around with some signs of wear and stains but overall fair condition for age.
Geghard (Armenian: Գեղարդ, meaning "spear") is a medieval monastery in the Kotayk province of Armenia, being partially carved out of the adjacent mountain, surrounded by cliffs. It is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
