This antique Chinese Altar Table is Circa the early 19th century. Traditional Chinese "Auspicious" patterns decorate the front and back of the table (the table can be displayed from both sides) The side panels of the table intricately carved with the "Magpie on the Plum Tree" design. The ornate carvings are double-sided and can be viewed from both sides. The table is crafted with wooden pegs and a tenon structure; which is the very traditional craftsmanship for furniture making in ancient China. This is a very heavy table with great details of handwork.  Excellent condition.  Original patina and wear.
