estate sale find so all i know this is old my guess perhaps 30s oil painting inside may be original to it , few wear spots on the painting also the crown on the frame may have a old repair on it
to me the wear does look great as it does look quite old
my guess painting is of reeds by perhaps by a lake
not sure if all would like the painting but he frame could be used as a mirror frame or picture but as you see i could be used for either use
condition is quite good for its age only a couple of tiny spots with worn finish looks to be mostly on the gold highlights rather than the flat greenish brown finish
overall size is about 11 x 11
the cut in back will hold a picture or glass 8 x 6"
