For your consideration is a vintage Chinese hand carved Soap Stone carving.  This is a double vase brush pot.  It has a monkey at the top looking like he is eating something.  A couple of Phoenix birds in the center under his feet and there are a couple of climbing animals at the sides.  There is a tree etched/carved in the tall pot and a spider on the smaller pot.  It is 5" tall, 5 3/4" wide and 3 1/4" deep.  There is a piece missing out of the back bottom.  Not sure if that was during carving or a chip.
