this is a basic, standard, white ceramic butter dish.

 it is two pieces~ the base and the cover.
it is used but works fine.

it has a speck in the corner, see pics. not sure what it is, but it wouldn't come off, i think it is an imperfection in the glaze.
this butter dish holds one standard size (4oz) stick or butter.
