"The Bumblebee" ... by ... SISTER BERTA HUMMEL MOTHER'S DAY PLATE ... 1974 ... Limited Edition

This charming illustration is based on an original painting created by Sister Berta before she entered the convent.  Since Hummel means bubblebee in German, the artist, early in her career, began using this play on words involving her name as a favorite theme.  It is reproduced with the express permission of the late artist's mother and legal heir, Mrs. Viktoria Hummel.
