Description

This is a very collectible vintage "Results" maker marked stainless steel "Kissing Bird" bit featuring a 2 inch high half breed polo curb roller port in clean well maintained very lightly used pre owned vintage condition.  The bit is missing one dome shaped embellishment on the lower left shank above the rein rings.   The Kissing Bird shaped shanks are embellished with nineteen 1/4 inch diameter studs, one 3/8 diameter stud at the top, one 1 inch diameter large domed concho, and one 3/4 ich diameter domed concho (the left one is missing) on each side.

I have not been able to find much information about the Results company, but it appears to have been a contemporary of the Crockett and Renalde bit companies.  My guess is this bit was produced in the 1940's to 1950's.  The 8 inch long cheek features a 3 inch purchase for a 2.67 to one leverage ratio.

If you love really cool vintage bits, and are looking for a great half breed bit that would look amazing when you participate in Mounted Shootings or Ranch classes this is the bit for your horse!  This bit is a good heavy duty bit that will last you a lifetime and weighs a substantial 19.50 ounces.
