Two volumes, ornate brown cloth boards with blind stamping and gilt titling, a reprint and possible pirated edition of the Kaaterskill Irving of 1881, in that no other copies were found by this publisher, 4to (10.5 x 6.750”), good + / n.a., vol. 1 xxx, 416 pp. ; vol. 2 xii, 513pp.  Head, tail and corners bumped and rubbed, spine coated in some sort of protectant, boards have general wear, hinges have been repaired, joints are strong, rear hinge of vol. 2 well started, text and many color plates from the Pollard and Moss Kaaterskill Irving edition are remarkably foxing and soiling free. 

 A distinctive book indeed – quite the Capture of Tyme.
