Unmarked Banana Shank Sweet Iron Snaffle Gymkhana Training 5 inch Wide Gag Bit

  This is an unmarked sliding banana cheek snaffle gag bit in well maintained pre-owned condition.  This particular bit is made with stainless steel banana shanks and has some light rust on the sweet iron snaffle mouthpiece.

The shanks measure 9 inches in total length, the length of the gag is 7 inches and the smooth snaffle mouthpiece is 5 inches wide x 3/8 inch in diameter with a tapered mouthpiece.  This unique gag features a sliding cheek that allows for natural flexion and lift in the shoulder.  The bit should be adjusted to fit with one wrinkle at the corner of the horse's mouth.  The sweet iron keeps the horse's mouth moist allowing the bit to move freely as designed.  This bit can be either gentle or harsh, depending on the hands of the rider.
