Amazing early Art Deco style porcelain set of 6 teacups with saucers, 5 dessert plates, plus creamer, sugar bowl, and teapot. MZ (Moritz Zdekauer) Altrohlau CMR from Czechoslovakia . All pieces are hexagon shaped, pink & lusterware with multisided paneled, with black line trim. The inside of all teacups are lusterware. The mark shown in each piece is the one that corresponds to the years between 1909 and 1922, but since Czechoslovakia as a country existed only after the end of WWI, I would say that probably this set was made somewhere between 1918 and 1922. The approximate measurements are: Footed teacups: 2” tall, top width 3 7/8”
Saucers: diameter 5 5/8”, height 7/8” Dessert plate: diameter 7 7/8” Creamer (4380 4 on bottom) : height 2 7/8”, width (top from handle to spout) 5 5/8” Sugar bowl: height w/o top: 2 oe”, inside opening: 3 7/8”, height with top on, including decorative “O” lid: 5 OE”. Teapot (1380 2 3/4 on bottom): height w/o top: 4”, width (from handle to spout) 9 oe” , inside opening: 4 7/8”, Inside height to opening: 3 oe”, height with top on, including decorative “O” on lid 7 OE” Mark from 1909 - 1922, so for an antique or almost antique set, it is in good condition. There is some light surface luster wear in some pieces and outlines have rubbed away, mainly on the saucers, (but not too noticeable when you add the cup on top). One tea cup has a chip and crack.
