This is a colorful Heavy Ceramic Rimmed shallow Bowl from Clay Design and artist Gary Patterson entitled "Alley Cat". It measures approx 7" in diameter and approx 1" tall - great for use or display -not sure what it's original intent was but with  the heavy ceramic I think it might be a water or food bowl that would be hard to knock over. It is in great pre-owned condition with bright and colorful graphics and no chips or damage.
