Vintage original 8 x 10 in. US single-weight glossy photograph from the 1970s adventure/drama, HURRICANE, released in 1979 by Paramount Pictures and directed by Jan Troell, about the desperate love affair between a young Samoan chief and an American painter, against the will of her father. Amid this man-made tension comes a hurricane so devastating, the lives of the lovers and the entire island are imperiled.
The image depicts a dramatic shot of Samoan chieftain Dayton Ka ' Ne "...handcuffed to a pole and left to drown as a raging storm engulfs Pago Pago." Included is the original paper snipe that was affixed to the bottom of the verso and folds-over to the front (the glue has dried and it has separated but is still intact). It is in very fine condition as shown.
