Vintage original 8 x 10 in. US single-weight glossy photograph from the 1970s adventure/drama, HURRICANE, released in 1979 by Paramount Pictures and directed by Jan Troell, about the desperate love affair between a young Samoan chief and an American painter, against the will of her father. Amid this man-made tension comes a hurricane so devastating, the lives of the lovers and the entire island are imperiled.
The image depicts a close shot of the Governor of Pago Pago, Samoa (Jason Robards) as set in the 1920s. Included is the original paper snipe that was affixed to the bottom of the verso and folds-over to the front (the glue has dried and it has separated but is still intact). It is in very fine condition as shown.
