This is a framed 4" X 6" print of a painting of a Lockheed P-38 "Lightning". The painting is detailed and accurately portrays this important U.S. WWII military aircraft. The P-38 was used in various aerial combat roles and was called "the forked devil" by the Germans. It proved most effective in the South Pacific theater as the aircraft of America's top ace, Richard Bong. The wooden military green frame measures 6.5" X 8.5" and has a routered piece for hanging. A mounting screw and a dowel for displaying the frame on a shelf or desk is included.
