BEES ARE MY BUSINESS

by Harry J. Whitcombe (with John Scott Douglas)

G.P. Putnam's Sons, Presumed First Edition, 1955

Condition: Very Good- in VG- dust jacket

This heartwarming human success story about how co-author Whitcombe became a beekeeper, is told against a background rich in information of vast importance to all of us and of practical value to beekeepers.  It describes the science of beekeeping from elementary facts about hives and swarms to the science of pollination.  Illustrated with eight pages of photos.  Many pages are somewhat moisture-curled, but are only moderately toned.  Cover corners are lightly bumped; a bit of shelf wear on lower edges.  Book is not marked except for a small "88" stamped on the rear free end paper.  The jacket has moderate edge wear, and the inside of the dj has darkening.
