Strong tasting aromatic herb great for flavoring poultry, soups, meat, stuffings, vinegar, vegetables and fish. Fragrant leaves are used in potpourri. Tall gray-green plants are an attractive landscape piece. Blooms are lavender to blue in color. 


This plant had a high reputation during the middle ages with many references to its healing properties and value. It was recommended as a diuretic, homostatic, emmenagogue, & tonic.
