A beautiful tropical annual grown almost everywhere as a bedding plant. This variety blooms slender pale pink flower spikes in summer. An old garden favorite that features a spiked flower head somewhat resembling a wheat stalk. Flowers bloom throughout summer into fall, sometimes to frost, on stems full of spear-shaped pale to bright pink blossoms that accent pointed forest green leaves. Grows 18-24 inches. A low maintenance plant with medium water requirements. Grow anytime of the year as a container plant. This variety of Celosia has been grown in the Monticello gardens since 1984.
Treat as a tropical annual that cannot tolerate frost.
