Love in a MIst

Heirloom

A charming old fashioned annual that bears delicate flowers of brilliant blue that mature to an intense pure color. Flowers "float" above a wispy green foliage giving it its namesake and look as though they are rising above a mist. Grows in a wide variety of soil and even loves growing out from rocks and small crevasses. Well developed as a cottage garden flower or a nice meadow setting. Self seeding annual that also works well as a cut flower, drying or arrangements for fall and winter decorations.

Can be sown direct to the garden in late fall to overwinter or early spring.

Tolerant of mild drought and poor soil, grows to about 2 1/2 feet.

Lovely blossoms adorn bright green leaves and can bloom year round in frost free zones. Will reseed in areas with colder climates.

A mass planting of this flower will be unforgettable with butterflies and hummingbirds fluttering from flower to flower. The perfect addition to any sunny meadow or garden.
