The strain is very prolific producing dozens of clusters of nugget fruits on small branching vines early in the season. CAUTION: "VERY HOT" These small (about an inch tall and ½ wide), thin, pointy peppers that are red when mature. They are green when unripe but can still be eaten, and are sometimes orange or purple depending on maturity. Birdseye chilli pepper are no doubt packed with heat punch! Harvest can be done at any time as soon you see the chili but best until it turns red when fully matured. The longer the chili grows in plant the hotter and pungent it gets and there is no disappointment the yields at any point. Typically these peppers hotness range between 150,000 to 230,000 SHU (Scoville Heat Units). |
