Snake Eyes Viper Ti4 10.5* Titanium Driver

Using weights placed further from the golf club’s center of gravity has enabled the movable weight technology to have more of an effect on golf ball flight than other models.

The Snake Eyes Viper Ti-4 Driver is noticeably longer from face to back than some drivers, a look which some people may not like. However, performance was consistent and solid.

460cc with four screw weight ports allowing ball flight customization. Twin triangular sole cavities increase the structural mass in the back of the sole.

Customize trajectory and ball flight with this weight-adjusted driver! Four custom weight ports are located around the perimeter of this 430cc driver, allowing for true customization of ball flight. The driver comes standard with two eight-gram insert screws positioned in the center back skirt area for high launch. Two light screws (2 grams each) are positioned toward the front heel-toe areas of the skirt. The screws can be changed into six different patterns to change flight. Viper Ti-4 driver heads feature the latest in manufacturing technology with plasma-welded face construction. Plasma welding provides a more precise weld bead around the perimeter of the face (50% less than TIG welding), while also keeping the properties of the face material since less heat is focused on a smaller portion of the face. What Clubmakers Are Saying... This might be the best product Golfsmith has ever produced. I built a club with the stock shaft, the 11.5 loft head, and a Winn RF grip; the club was cut to 43.5 inches and swing-weighted to D2 using a 9 gram weight in the hosel port. I configured the screws in the slight draw position and this club just plain outperforms all pro-line drivers I have ever owned. I hit high long draws on about 80% of my shots with this club. My mis-hits are high straight drives. It is the most solid feeling and best sounding driver head ever. Super product!

Review: "By far the easiest to hit driver I have ever played. I used to play a Great Big Bertha and thought I would never get rid of it. That is, until I hit a buddy's 600T. That was a very sweet feeling club, too, and prompted me to go into the Golfsmith store. After hitting this driver at the range, I knew it was the right one for me. My swing speed is in the 98-105 mph range, so I chose a stiff shaft, 44". A little tip trimming is a good thing with a head this large (I took 1" off the tip). The thing I love the most about this club is that I CAN'T MISS THE BALL, no matter how hard I swing. Needless to say, I've added yards off the tee. I used to average about 210 off the tee with the big bertha. I was swinging at about 80% so that my drives would be controllable and go where I wanted them to. I'm now swinging this driver at about 90-95%, and my average drive is about 240 now. And this is a true average, not the optimistic talk you get out of most people. On any given 400 yard par 4, I expect to hit driver, 8 iron, putter. The other nice thing about this driver is the huge amount of carry it has! 200 yards of carry is no problem now. I'd say I get about 20-40 yards of roll out of this driver, depending on conditions. I've never been a huge driver, but I've won 2 awards this summer with this driver: #1. Straightest drive. 303 yards long, 2 inches off the center line. #2. Longest drive. 329 yards long. I know, many people can hit longer than me still, but I'm not going to complain. There was not a single round this year that I didn't blast at least 1 drive past 280, and those 300+ yarders happen quite often! Working the ball is a little difficult with a head this big. My natural draw is pretty straight with this driver. I have to REALLY work to make it slice (weights are set up neutral). The good thing is, the ball goes straight almost all the time. Doesn't matter how hard you swing. But, with it's high ball flight, you get used to not having to 'work' the ball, just go over the trees rather than slice it around them to cut a dogleg. My only complaint about this driver is that it makes your mid-irons rusty. Hitting driver-wedge all the time keeps your 5,6,&7 in the bag almost all day!"
