The Walt Disney Family Museum opens its doors to the public on October 1, 2009 at 104 Montgomery Street in The Presidio of San Francisco, CA. This pin, as well as, several other similar and different pins are the first pins issued and sold at the Museum Store during its pre-grand opening week, and will also be available for sale as open edition pins to the public. This pin depicts the icon on the upper right corner of the museum's 9 square logo (#73211). It is rectangular in shape and is designed like a poster board for the museum. As the saying goes, it all started with a mouse and this image is of the mouse himself. Mickey Mouse is shown as an illustration from the shoulders up in red on white in a square in the upper half of this pin. Below this square in white letters on a red background are the words: THE WALT DISNEY FAMILY MUSEUM.
