Description: A nice antique tall table top brass oil lamp. The lamp has a wick in it and the wheel which when turned should raise the wick and lower it is marked "AP PARIS" in raised lettering. This French brass oil lamp has a round base with a raised center supporting a formed stem which is turn supports a small reservoir where the oil would reside. The reservoir is threaded on top where the mechanism with the wick or burner screws onto it. The burner has a short cylindrical wick threaded through it. The reservoir has material in it, which appears to be a wick. We decided to leave it in since we are selling the piece as found. The piece is relatively clean with some oxidation signs and an old patina, which would benefit from a good cleaning to bring the beauty of the piece out. The mechanism to raise and lower the wick does not work but the lamp appears to be all original and is intact. A nice piece to add to your collection. Please carefully review the photos presented as they are part and parcel of the description.
