A beautiful painting with a hunter returning from hunting, made in the original Dutch school. Classical painting for people who appreciate the Classical style and the Dutch school of art. Signed lower left for Jacob Jan Coenraad Spohler (1837 in Amsterdam – 1894) was a Dutch painter. He was the son and pupil of Jan Jacob Spohler. He is known for winter landscapes and cityscapes and was the brother of Johannes Franciscus Spohler. He died in Amsterdam 28 June 1894, and not in 1923 as some sources state.
Size app.: 52.5 x 41.5 cm (roughly 20.7 x 16.3 in) enclosed into gold gesso contemporary (original) frame of 78.5 x 68 cm or (roughly 31 x 26.8 in). Very Good condition, wear minor such frame defects. Please study good resolution images for cosmetic condition. In person actual painting may appear darker or brighter than in our pictures, strictly depending on sufficient light in your environment.
