Vintage original 8 x 10 in. US single-weight glossy photograph from the 1950s documentary, THE JAMES DEAN STORY, released in 1957 by Warner Bros. and directed by Robert Altman and George W. George. Undertaken soon after James Dean's death, this documentary looks at Dean's life through the use of still photographs with narration and interviews with many of the people involved in his short life.
The image depicts James Dean with his cousin, Marcus Winslow (AKA "Markie" Winslow), as they play with some of the young boy's toy cars. The original paper snipe caption is affixed to the verso. It is in very fine condition.
