Any table tennis players who use custom paddles will benefit from using a paddle press.

Paddle Press's patented technology is unique and helps table tennis players avoid mistakes during paddle creation or rubber replacement.   It is useful for table tennis players who have advanced beyond mass market table tennis paddles and are ready for a custom paddle.

Paddle Press can be used to:

What you get with your purchase:

1) Paddle Press tool - (Pine Green is shown in most of the pictures)
2) One hobby knife and blade for cutting the table tennis rubber sheets
3) Owner's manual with instructions for using the Paddle Press tool.
4) Small force distributor
5) Large force distributor

The Paddle Press base and force distributors are constructed from Sande plywood, which is a type of marine plywood that resists moisture.

Why Paddle Press?
As players advance in the sport of table tennis, at some point, they discover that they will need to build their own table tennis paddle based on their unique playing style.  This can be intimidating and error prone.

If you buy a new paddle from a table tennis web site, at some point, the rubber will wear and need replacement to maintain optimal performance and game play.

Making a paddle involves selecting a blade and one or two sheets of rubber to construct a custom table tennis paddle.

Paddle construction/rubber replacement involves:

There are many different types of blades, rubber sheets, and glue.  Each of these contribute to the ultimate playability of the paddle.  Advanced table tennis players will change their rubber sheets fairly often because the performance of the rubber degrades over time.

Mistakes in the rubber sheet cutting process are costly.  A single rubber sheet can range in price from $25 dollars to over $100 dollars, depending on the sheet. Improperly cut rubber sheets can make the table tennis paddle ineligible for tournament play or worse - it can make the paddle completely unusable.   Paddle Press helps you to avoid rubber sheet cutting mistakes - and the tool costs less than most rubber sheets.

Consistent rubber sheet application to the blade involves using the same type and thickness of rubber sheet and glue, as well as gluing the rubber sheet to the blade with the same force.

About Paddle Press Products

As an avid table tennis player who has ruined many expensive table tennis rubber sheets, I was frustrated with the lack of a tool to help make the table tennis paddle assembly process easier. I was also looking for a way to cut and apply table tennis rubber to the blade with a consistent force, since that contributes to how the paddle will perform.

There was nothing on the market that met my needs, so that led to the development of Paddle Press.  Paddle Press has been in development since 2017. In April, 2021, we received utility patent approval for Paddle Press from the United States patent office.  We have been slowly moving forward with bringing paddle press to market.

Paddle Press Products LLC was formed at the end of 2021.  All Paddle Press tools are currently hand crafted in the state of New Hampshire.  We are making a small number of Paddle Presses available at this time through Bonanza.
