Vintage original partial US 3-sheet poster from the 1960s mystery/drama horror film, MR. SARDONICUS, released in 1961 by Columbia Pictures and directed by William Castle, in which a mysterious and cruel Baron, whose face has become frozen in a horrifying grin, demands that a prominent London physician apply experimental treatments on him to restore his face.
This is the larger, top panel only and the bottom panel with the film's credits is not present. It is unrestored and folded as originally issued in fine- condition.
Although the audience could vote on whether the main character could be pardoned or receive further punishment, technology to "choose" an ending did not exist at the time. William Castle filmed only one ending for the movie, and the "vote" was rigged by planting speakers in the theatre to vote for punishment.
