Durable cold cast polyresin, fully functional or may be used at home decor (mine is going on the bathroom door at my studio) and should last a lifetime with reasonable care. Excellent detail in casting, then hand finished and painted to give the look of hand carved wood. This a beautiful piece, I don't think you'll be disappointed. Look at the detail in hi-res photos and you'll see what I mean.
