Dated September 3, 1819 Massachusetts militia document excusing Samuel Wentworth 3rd regiment, 2nd brigade, 11th Division, from serving as he is rendered unable to perform due to a fractured thigh and ribs and wounds to his ankle. Signed by Dr. Manning, Surgeon of the 3rd Regiment and approved by Noah Rich on the reverse. Size: 7"x4". Soiled, edge and corner wear, creased, some separations starting on the folds. A nice find.
