Louise Andrews Kent (1886-1969) was an American author. She was born in Massachusetts and graduated from Simmons College in 1909, where she was president of her senior class and editor of the college paper. She became a newspaper columnist and best selling author Children's books, both fiction & non-fiction, & cookbooks. She authored a series of cookbooks as "Mrs. Appleyard." Kent, also as "Mrs. Appleyard," wrote a quarterly feature on food for Vermont Vermont Life magazine for many years
