Ray Ellis (1921-2013) painted for over 70 years. Born in Philadelphia, he attended the Philadelphia museum school of art. He painted in his spare time until 1969, when he devoted all his time to his art. In the 80's he collaborated with Walter Cronkite on a series of fine art books celebrating the nation's coastlines. For 3 consecutive years he was commissioned by the president to paint scenes of the White House for the official Christmas card. His paintings reside in the permanent collection of the White House, museums across the country, and private collections worldwide.

There is no border, the image is printed all the way to the edges.
The left edge is a little rough where it was removed from the binding.
