RARE Hoban North Beach Leather Paris Red Plonge Jacket sz 6

This was Michael Hoban at his best, and these only were created for one season.  In short, Michael started to re-enter into high end leather comparable to Gucci, Versace and other top labels by creating some of his designs in ultra soft ranched lambskin leather that come for a special producer in France.  This leather source is in high demand and is the supplier for many of the best leather including the Coco house - and in fact, I was in store during the Trunk Show in NYC when Michael was fighting on the phone with the supplier who was trying to cut back the size of his order because Lagerfeld was looking for more.  This was the day that I acquired my amazing Danmant trench.

The price is not a typo - These pieces were generally 3 - 4x higher than North Beach's regular design which was attributed to the cost of the French Lambskin.  My trench, example, retailed for $3500 - Thankfully, I got it at discount at the trunk show plus had a ton of store credit.

So anyways, this is some of the highest quality leather that North Beach ever used in their designs which were actual made in Paris and then shipped to the US.  This is a fabulous 3-Button jacket / blazer in a nice candy apple red.  The jacket has been worn and there are some very minor signs of wear.  There is one water stain on the left lapel, and some light scuffs as shown in the pictures.  The color is generally uniform, but there may be some ever slight darkening in some areas.  Fits like a true size 6, but note that the sleeve length is a little short at 22".
