This elegant 4 -piece antique tea set is made by the Rogers Company and is quadruple plated silver. The set includes a teapot, sugar bowl, tea jar and cream pitcher. The entire set has a lovely patina and will clean up beautifully with silver cleaner. It is in excellent condition. The tea jar has a small dent in the top (see pic) and there is a small scratch on the side of the sugar bowl, otherwise the set is perfect.
Each piece has the same inscription on the bottom: 1881, Rogers, Quadruple, New York, 5014. Rogers 1881 is a flatware pattern. William A. Rogers, an American silversmith, designed and manufactured silverware under the "Wm. Rogers" mark and its variations until about 1840. After that time, many companies, including International Silver, Oneida and Simpson, Hall and Miller Company appropriated the William Rogers name.
Make this lovely set a part of your collection or enjoy for you own tea times.
