• Condition: The bowl is free of chips, cracks, crazing, fleabites and repairs, including open work on the edges. There are no visible marks or scratches from use and storage. The gold is superb with minimal rubbing and wear and no scratches through. There is light shelf wear on the bottom as expected.

Drop Rose, aka Schleiger 55, features a wreath of large pink roses and green leaves with a single rose dropping toward the center. The pattern is one of Haviland's most popular with collectors. The blank on this piece I am not familiar with, it features panels and acanthus leaves creating open work on the rim evenly spaced between the scallops. It's a fantastic blank and I would love to see more! The bowl is marked "Haviland France" in green underglaze, Mark I, which was used between 1894 and 1931 and decorator's marked "Haviland & Co. Limoges" in red, Mark C, used between 1889 and 1931. It's a stunning bowl in amazing condition and unusual blank. It will make a fantastic addition to any Haviland or Drop Rose collection.
