WEREWOLF # 3 (DELL, 1967). VERY FINE+ (VF+) 8.5 WITH CREAMY TO OFF- WHITE PAGES. EXCELLENT SPINE STRUCTURE WITH SEVERAL SMALL STRESS LINES. CLEAN AND SMOOTH COVER SURFACE, WITH VERY BRIGHT COLORS ! THE EDGES OF THE BOOK ARE STRAIGHT, AND ALL- INTACT, WITH NO TEARS, CREASES, OR CHIPS OUT OF THE EDGES ALL THE WAY AROUND THE MARGINS OF THE BOOK BOTH FRONT AND BACK. SIMILARLY, THE CORNERS ARE ALL INTACT AND EXCELLENT ALSO, WITH NO CREASES OR CHIPS OUT THERE, EITHER. OVERALL SOLID AND INTACT COMIC BOOK, WHICH IS CLEAN AND FLAT WITH NO SPINE ROLL. BOTH STAPLES ARE VERY NICELY AS WELL AS NEAR PERFECTLY- ALIGNED RIGHT ALONG THE EDGE OF THE SPINE. SEE THE CLOSE- UP PICTURES. JUST SOME VERY LIGHT AND INSIGNIFICANT SURFACE WEAR ADJACENT TO THE SPINE, BUT CERTAINLY NO NOTABLE OR MAJOR FLAWS OR DEFECTS. THE CENTERFOLD OF THIS COMIC IS SECURE AT BOTH OF THE INTERNAL STAPLE BARS, WHICH ARE SILVER AND CLEAN, WITH NO RUST NOTED. (SEE THE CLOSE- UP PHOTOS). THE COMIC COVER IS SECURELY ATTACHED AT BOTH STAPLES, WHICH ARE CLEAN. THE INSIDE & BACK COVERS ARE OFF-WHITE AND CLEAN, WITH NO SURFACE STAINS OR SMUDGES.THERE IS A SMALL ARRIVAL DATE NEAR TOP OF THE BACK COVER, NOT REALLY CONSIDERED AS A DEFECT, SINCE THIS WAS A COMMON PRACTICE ASSOCIATED WITH THE DISTRIBUTION PROCESS OF COMIC BOOKS BACK IN THAT TIME PERIOD--1967.
CRAIG'S COLLECTORS NOTES: IRONICALLY, THIS IS THE LAST ISSUE IN THE SERIES, YET IT NEVERTHELESS INCLUDES THE ORIGIN OF WEREWOLF IN THE THIRD STORY OF THE THREE INCLUDED IN THE BOOK, THOUGH ITS NOT TITLED AS THE ORIGIN ON THE OPENING PAGE OFTHE STORY. A COOL, CAMPY, FUN, AND WISTFUL SENSIBILITY ASSOCIATED WITH THIS OLD DELL COMIC SERIES FROM 1967. A TOUGH BOOK TO FIND IN HIGHER GRADE CONDITION... TO PUT IT IN WESTERN PARLANCE... THEY DON'T "BLOW INTO TOWN" EVERY DAY. AND AT LEAST IN HIGHER GRADE, WAY UNDER- VALUED IN THE YEARLY PRICE GUIDE.
