Dead Children Identified as Viet Cong
Direct from an estate collection of war photos is an original 5" x 3" V.A.X. news photo of 4 dead bodies, 2 of which are children. There is a typed news slug taped to the back (in Vietnamese) identifying the date (7/20/1964) and photo content. There is also a red V.A.X. stamp (V.A.X. was a Vietnamese news agency). Google translation of the news slug renders a bitter, sarcastic text: "Viet Cong's three-year-old brother and sister's picture is complete with Quon Sung's ear. Mihn above; Viet Cong Quang is proud of his father and children."
