Joaquin Miller (Cincinnatus Heine Miller) 1837-1913 was a Western poet, author and frontiersman. He was nicknamed the "Poet of the Sierras". His other various colorful occupations included being a miner, lawyer, newspaperman, Pony Express rider, and horse thief.
