WILLIAM TRAHER: GIANT IN THE MUSEUM by John Jellico. From working on miniature oils, Traher moved onto large scale dioramas at the Denver Museum of Natural History. His working surface is a Curving expanse of white plaster, and he transforms this into a world of illusion. This art has been generally ignored, and yet it presents a great challenge for the imaginative artist.

JACQUI MORGAN: IN PURSUIT by Rose DeNeve. What is the driving force behind this vigorous illustrator? What does she mean by the painful business of finding out who you are"? Here is the story of a woman whose work is an extension of her personal pursuit.

INDUSTRIAL LANDSCAPES OF PETER HOMITZKY by Diane Cochrane. This painter explores the abstract design qualities of the American land- scape. Industrial forms Create visual patterns that stimulate an unusual approach to a familiar scene.

JOHN JAMES AUDUBON: ARTIST AND NATURALIST by Shirley Meador. Well over a century ago, this artist created drawings and watercolors that have survived as important documents of the natural world as we still know it. His ambitious project, The Birds of America, was undertaken and completed with limited tools and a remarkably contemporary perception.

THE WATERCOLOR PAGE: MIKE BURNS. These tight watercolors on panels form a portrait of Northwest America: desolate cedar houses in a remote setting against a stark sky.
