Developed at Clemson University. Stringless even when mature. Unlike most bean varieties, Cherokee Wax stays tender when frozen, also good canned or fresh. This warm-season annual produces a continuous crop of beans for about two weeks. Cherokee bush beans are light feeders and do not require enriched, fertile soil to grow well. This variety is fast maturing and easy to pick, will have mature beans in just 50 days. The Cherokee Wax has a great flavor, making them an excellent cooking bean.
