Two new features are now live

Just wanted to post a quick blog to let you know about two features we recently pushed live.

Buyers can now post feedback without logging into Bonanza (added in July).  Bonanza sellers have often requested that we make it easier for buyers to post feedback for transactions.  Now buyers can post feedback without logging into Bonanza.  To make sure you have this option enabled on your account, go to your "Account Settings > Notification Settings" and make sure to select the option, "Send an email reminding a buyer to leave feedback about me (sent a month after transaction closes)."  Buyers intending to leave negative feedback will be taken to a confirmation page which will suggest our Order Resolution Center and some other options prior to leaving the negative feedback.

Allow direct responses to BMails (added July 29th).  Buyers and sellers can now respond to BMails (messages sent via the Bonanza email system), directly from the copy that we send to your privately regsitered email.  When you reply to a Bmail via your private inbox, Bonanza will generate a Bmail and forward it to the other party. Nothing is needed to use this feature, it is already live on the site.  Get down James Brown!

would it be possible to change the feedback notification from a month to 2 weeks? People have very short memories and often confuse what they bought from whom. Might save a LOT of aggravation thanks

Not a fan of the feedback reminder email. The only time a buyer of mine responded (a month after the transaction), and left feedback having received that email, is responsible for the only negative I have. The words accompanying the neg really make it unclear if she was commenting on the book purchased, or the the condition of the package, ie the PO may have roughed it up a bit. If, as a buyer, you are really dissatisfied with something, why would you wait 30 days to say so? I still maintain this buyer was lashing out at what she perceived to be an annoying email. So no thank you. I won’t be prodding my buyers to leave feedback.

Love the bmail response thing though. Thanks.

Sounds great.

One question regarding the bmail response from email – How will that affect our ZIPPY rating? Currently, we have to respond in bmail to make that work for us.

If we respond to the regular email, will that also trigger the response time? If so, will it be instant, or will be suffer a delay in updating?

bonanzamark says in response: 08/02/12 at 10:09:14

Yes, it will trigger the response time metric. We process email every 15 minutes, so worst case on our end is that the Bmail gets sent 15 minutes after the email. email can get delayed outside of our control though. If there is an abnormal delay then please contact support and we will assist.

There is no answer to BookbinEtc’s question.
I have the same question plus …can I respond to an “ask seller a question” b-mail from my e-mail and EVEN IF I am not logged in to Bonanza?? If I can, then am I correct to assume the clock stops ticking with my “private” e-mail response??

Please respond
